Oasis Ministries
One WordPress maintenance plan across 3 sites — 18+ months, zero issues
The problem
Oasis Ministries runs three sites with three different risk profiles: GreaterLove TV, a streaming network; MDT Church, the congregation's own site; and the Oasis Ministries store. Each carries a different kind of exposure, and for a ministry team none of it is anybody's day job — which is exactly how three sites end up quietly unmaintained while everyone assumes somebody else is watching them.
What I did
- Brought all three sites under a single ongoing care plan, so one regime covers the streaming network, the church site and the store instead of three separate arrangements nobody owns.
- Kept the monitoring continuous rather than periodic, so problems surface from the watching rather than from a visitor reporting something broken.
- Made one operator accountable across all three, so nothing falls into the gap between different platforms and different people.
- Kept the work routine and unremarkable by design — the whole point of a care plan is that it never becomes an event.
The result
Three sites, 18+ months of monitoring, zero issues. For the ministry that means the websites have simply never been something to think about: no outages to explain to the congregation, nothing to firefight on the store, and no scramble to find someone who understands WordPress when something breaks.
What it proves
Three sites with three risk profiles under one care plan. The measure of ongoing care is not what you fixed — it is eighteen months with nothing that needed fixing.
