My Process

  • Took a full backup of the website (files and database) before any work.
  • Manually cleaned the site: checked core files, themes, and plugins for infected code.
  • Found hidden malicious scripts in the database and removed them immediately.
  • Ran a deep scan with Wordfence in high-sensitivity mode to catch anything left.
  • Confirmed a clean scan report and ensured the site was safe to use.
  • Fixed Google Ads policy issues and contacted Google Support to recheck the site and remove the “compromised website” warning so ads could run again.
